Cold Hard Code

MogileFS Update.

If anybody has been eager to hear about our MogileFS and caching exploits (following the post I made about Varnish) I'm sorry to have let you down.  I do have a good reason for not being communicative in this regard.

The answer is that I'm trying to build a very powerful framework for managing storage, processing and generally dealing with user-contributed content.  I'm keeping the Media Mogul name (or rather, Media::Mogul) and will be posting the library to the CPAN but it does require a lot of code.

The good news here is that I have some rough samples that work very well within Cartionary, but the bad news is that none of that code is going to go into the final deliverable.  It's a fresh work inspired by the hacks I did earlier, but at least that is one step away from vaporware.

So, patience and stay tuned, I think everybody will like the end result.
